Extracurricular Activities
If you would like your child to participate in the After-School Activities for Quarter 1, please use this Sign Up Sheet to indicate your child's choices on the line before the appropriate activity. Students are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please return your form as soon as possible as space is limited in many clubs. If you have any questions, please call Elise Smith in the Guidance Department at 286-7143, ext. 209. We look forward to providing your child with enriching extra-curricular opportunities through-out the 2009-2010 school year.
Alternative Energy Club
Meetings will be after school from 2:30 to 3:30 on three Tuesdays a month (9/27 10/4 10/18 10/25 11/1 11/8 11/15). Students need to be picked up promptly at 3:30. This will also be offered as a choice for Friday's enrichment block each quarter. Location is Mr. LaBombard’s Technical Education Room. Art Club
Art club is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students. Art Club meets every other Thursday in the art room from 2:30-4:00. Morning announcements will be made every other week as a reminder.
Student must have a signed permission slip to participate. They can pick one up in the art room or the Guidance office.
Art Club is an opportunity for students to participate in creating art after school. Students have the flexibility to come every other week or when their schedule allows. There will be a theme each time the club meets or student may explore a medium of their choice.

Chess Club
The Chess Club meets on Tuesdays from 2:23 to 3:30pm. Contact Mrs. Smith (ext. 209)
Cooking Club
Cooking Club meets on Mondays from 2:23pm to 3:00pm in the RRAPS Room. Contact Mrs. Roy (ext. 310) for more information.
Friends of Rachel
The Friends of Rachel is a program designed by students to help fight bullying and predjudicial behavior. Word of the Week is one of many activities designed and run by the students. Mix 94.1 FM airs the Word of the Week each Monday at 7:05am.
Homework Club
After school Homework Club meets on Mondays through Thursdays from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. There is limited bus transportation on a space available basis for students attending Homework Club. Please call ahead if your child will need a ride in order to attend. Snacks are served and permission slips are required.
On Fridays the Intensive Homework Club is offered at an extended time from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. This is for motivated students only. Please contact Ms. Smith (ext. 209) for more information.
Model Building/Wood Working
The Model Building and Wood Working Club meets on Wednesdays from 2:23pm to 4:00pm in the Guidance office. Contact Dr. Mead (ext. 206) for more information.

Recycling Club

Veterans Visiting Club
The Veterans Visiting Club meets every other Thursday from 2:23pm to 5:00pm in Guidance. Contact Mrs. Roy (ext. 310) for more information.
YNOT - Youth Network Opposing Tobacco
YNOT is a tobacco / substance abuse program run by students to promote a smoke free / substance free community. Various activities are held throughout the school year including peer to peer advocacy.
