6th Grade Late Work Policy

Student will receive 10% off of the grade for each day late, down to 60%. 60% is the highest grade a student will get on the fourth or following days. Late work may be passed in until midterm or the end of the quarter.

WRMS Honors Option

It is our mission at Winnisquam Regional Middle School to challenge every student academically. Students in English/Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Unified Arts classes will have the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the general curriculum requirements and choose to complete honors option work. Meeting the challenge will require students to demonstrate strong skills in the areas of organization, meeting deadlines, study skills, and independent learning. Successful completion of ALL honors option requirements will be recognized with an honors designation on all academic records.

The WRMS Honor Option Brochure outlines the guidlines that reflect the achievement profile of students who would be strong candidates for honors option learning contracts at each grade level.

6th Grade Discipline Policy

In order to maintain a safe and productive learning environment, 6th graders are expected to be positive role models for the school. The 6th Grade Discipline Policy for the 2010-2011 school year outlines these expectations as well as the consequences when failure to act in the expected manner.
