Champions For Children
One of the wonderful traditions in the Winnisquam
Regional School District is to recognize and celebrate staff,
parents, and/or community members that volunteer their time or make
significant contributions that benefit students. We celebrated the
district’s Champion’s For Children at the June 18th, 2007 Board
meeting. The individuals listed below were honored for their
commitment and dedication.

Deb Tomasek and Kathy McKinster for their dedicated service
to students and families, care and concern above and beyond the call
of duty, and commitment to excellence in Special Education.

Union Sanborn School
Rita De Veer for her excellent service in special education, she has
helped to improve many students’ ability to communicate and be more
successful within the school environment. Her PTO leadership has
enriched the learning experience for all children and helped connect
parents to their children’s experience in school. Her energy,
commitment and genuine nature are contagious and set a wonderful
example for all. These attributes combine to make her an authentic
Champion for the children at Union Sanborn School.
Winnisquam Regional Middle School
Karen Cornell for going above and beyond the call of duty as a
parent and community member over the past few years, but especially
this year with the Nation Anthem Choir. She has dedicated many hours
