Welcome New Educators

We welcomed our new staff members on Friday, August 25, 2006 to the Winnisquam Regional School District.  Suzan Gannett, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, facilitated the staff orientation.  I emphasized three key messages for new staff members to incorporate every day in the classroom:

 New Administrators

Suzan Gannett - Director of Curriculum & Instruction.  Suzan is not new to the district as she was the principal at Union Sanborn for the last 11 years.  She is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and Plymouth State University.  She has taught middle school and high school social studies in the Linwood School District in Lincoln, NH and grades 1 and 5 in the Thornton School District in Thornton, NH.

 

Tim Neville - Principal of Union Sanborn School.
Mr. Neville is an experienced educator and come to us from Henniker School in Henniker, NH where he served as the Assistant Principal.  Mr. Neville is a graduate of Keene State College and the University of New Hampshire.  He has taught grades 1 and 4 in the Bow School District in Bow,NH.   

New Educators

Elementary Schools

Trudy Leask – Elementary School Psychologist
Ms. Leask is a graduate of the University of Colorado and Lewis and Clark College.  She has served as a school psychologist in the states of Maine, Tennessee and Kansas. 

Brenda CharpentierSecond Grade Teacher Union Sanborn School.
Ms. Charpentier is a graduate of Montana State University and Southern NH University.  She has worked as a journalist for the Concord Monitor over the last 14 years and is excited to have become a teacher.


Nicole Dubois - Second Grade Teacher Sanbornton Central School
Ms. Dubois is a recent graduate of Plymouth State University and completed her student teaching at Belmont Elementary School in Belmont, NH

Charles Slayton – Guidance Counselor WRMS and Sanbornton Central School
Mr. Slayton is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Notre Dame College.  He has worked at the Second Start Alternative High School in Concord, NH where he was coordinating the Transition Employment Training Program.

Jessica Strid - Title 1 Teacher Union Sanborn School and Southwick School
Ms. Strid is a graduate of the University of Montana and is currently completing her Master’s Degree at Plymouth State University.

 

Lisa Faller - Second Grade TeacherUnion Sanborn School
Ms. Faller is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State College.  She has worked in our district as a Title I tutor and teacher as well as a first grade in the InterLakes School District in Meredith, NH.



Winnisquam Regional Middle School

Barbara Cook - Special Education Teacher Winnisquam
Ms. Cook has a degree in architecture from Boston Architectural College and a Master’s degree in education from Rivier College.  She completed her internship at Raymond Middle School in Raymond, NH

Whitney Rhine – Special Education Teacher
Ms. Rhine is a graduate of St Lawrence University, Keene State College and currently attending New England College.  Shecompleted her student teaching at Alstead Primary School in Alstead, NH; N. Walpole Elementary School in N. Walpole, NH and the Symonds School in Keene, NH.

Kerri Biller - Title I Reading Tutor
Ms. Biller is a graduate of Plymouth State University, NH.  She has taught in the Waterville Valley Academy in Waterville Valley, NH.

Nancy Witherspoon – Title I Math Tutor
She is the 6th grade Title 1 Math Tutor returning to teaching after being a “domestic engineer” (at home mom).  Mrs. Witherspoon is a graduate of Plymouth State University and Central Connecticut State University.  She has served most recently as a long-term substitute teacher at Sanbornton Centra
l School.

Winnisquam Regional High School

Jeffrey Cloos – Athletic Director
Mr. Cloos is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Winthrop University.  He was the wellness and fitness teacher for Sanborn Regional High School in Kingston, NH.

Allison Marshall – Health Teacher
Ms. Marshall is a recent graduate of Plymouth State University earning both a Bachelors of Science and a Masters in Education.  She completed her internship at Newfound Middle School in Newfound, NH; Campton Elementary School in Campton, NH and Plymouth Regional High School in Plymouth, NH.

Dana Foulds – Social Studies Teacher
 Ms. Fouldsis a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Bridgeport holding both a Bachelors of Science and Master of Science degrees. She completed her internship at Danbury High School in Danbury, CT.

Jennifer Gornnert – Agricultural Teacher
Ms. Gornett is a graduate of Penn State University in Horticulture and received her teaching certificate from Rutgers University.   She completed her internship at South Hunterdon Regional High School in Lambertville, NJ.

Joshua Keaton – Chemistry Teacher
Mr. Keaton is a graduate of Plymouth State University.  He has taught at both Londonderry High School in Londonderry, NH and Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook, NH

 

Kathy Hamel – English Teacher
Ms. Hamel is a graduate of Lyndon State College and has previously taught at Colebrook Academy in Colebrook, NH
