It was very clear at the March 2007 School District
meeting that it is important for the district to be able to share our
vision for student learning, lay out a five year plan for capital
improvements, and improve communications on the financial forecast of
the future. As a result, we created a steering committee of
parents, community members, teachers, administrators, students and Board
members to begin the strategic planning process and assess what’s
working and what is not working in the district.
Our goal was to create a complete strategic plan that contains the mission,
vision, goals, objectives timelines, and measures so that we track our
progress over time. The steering committee started the strategic
planning process in June keeping in mind that it needed to be completed
in August, prior to the start of the school year. Our strategic
plan has been written and it is "Our Journey to Create a Better Future"
for the Winnisquam Regional School District.
