We will finish up learning about rocks& minerals and move on to study fossils.  We have learned about metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary rocks.  We have walked through the rock cycle and colored in a paper about it.  We have done some rock experiments and made some of our own rocks.  We have sorted rocks into categories and tried to figure out properties of specific rocks.  It has been very interesting.

Last week we met with the artist-in –residence and began writing a storyboard for our puppet story.  We picked out parts and we also worked with Mrs. Swain on our puppets.  We paper- mached the heads and picked out cloth for the bodies.  Next week we will work some more on them.
