PURPOSE |
| NH Impact Center | Improve mathematics instruction to meet the needs of individual students and improve student results. NH Impact consultants will work with classroom teachers on differentiating instruction in mathematics. They will also provide afternoon workshops on Numbers and Operations and Algebra and Function. |
| 6 Traits Writing | Improve writing
instruction to meet the needs of individual students and to make the
reading/writing connection. Consultant will work with classroom
teachers through modeling of lessons, collaboration and provide afternoon
workshops of the literature connection with each of the 6 traits.
A day-long workshop will be offered to introduce the program to teachers. This is a follow-up to last spring. |
| NWEA Stepping Stones to Data Workshop | Improve teacher use of data to guide instruction and to meet the needs of individual students and improve student results. This workshop offered to all staff. The morning workshop will offer time in the afternoon to dig deep into class results. Primary MAP tests will be further explored by early elementary teachers and the benchmark tests available to them. |
| UNH Learning Through Teacher | Improve reading instruction in all curricular areas to meet the needs of individual students. This activity is being offered to elementary, middle and high school teachers. The consultants from UNH will visit on a monthly basis to consult with teachers individually and to meet with groups after school to discuss readings. |
| Wilson's Fundations | Improve reading strategies for the at-risk reader at the primary level. |
| Differentiated Instruction | Our December 13th workshop will focus on this topic. Teachers will explore how to set up, plan, and assess students in a differentiated, inclusionary classroom. |
| John Collins Writing Program | Improve the teaching of writing through embedded staff development. Consultant will provide support to new teachers in the district. |
| Connected University | Teachers have the opportunity district-wide to choose from a variety of on-line courses providing research-based instruction on a variety of topics. |
| Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies | Continued support will be provide to our district Universal, Target and Red Zone teams to help deal with student behaviors in a positive way. |
