AHERA Management Plan
In accordance with the AHERA Regulation (40 CFR 763.93 (g) (4) concerning Notification of Plan Availability, please be advised that the AHERA Management Plan is located in the Winnisquam Regional School District's SAU #59 offices, as well as in the administrative offices of each school in the district.
The Management Plan is a site-specific guidance document that Neil Cameron, Winnisquam Regional School District's Designated Person, must follow in managing the asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) present in the schools.
Generally, ACBM consists of non-friable (cannot be crumbled, pulverized or reduced to powder by simple hand pressure; accordingly, non-friable materials are less likely to release fibers that can become airborne and create a health hazard) floor coverings and transite wall panels. Friable materials (i.e. pipe insulation and hard fittings associated with fiberglass pipe insulation) can be found in areas of limited access such as behind hard walls and above hard ceilings.
The Management Plan is updated to keep it current with the on-going operations and maintenance, periodic surveillance, re-inspection and response action activities. RPF Environmental, an EPA-accredited and New Hampshire licensed environmental testing and consulting firm, has been completing our six month surveillance reports as well as our three year inspection reports. If you should have any questions regarding RPF's re-inspection reports or the Management Plan, please feel free to contact Neil Cameron at (603) 286-4531.
