School Safety Drills:

Information for Parents and Students

GENERAL INFORMATION

In this age of global, political and social unrest, and technological advancements as well as the more historical threats of natural disasters, the Winnisquam Regional School District looks to the State of New Hampshire’s Office of Emergency Management to provide guidelines in creating comprehensive Emergency Management Plans in all our school.

Information in this brochure is intended to educate the parents and students of our district about the various drills that will be practiced throughout the school year by staff and students as part of our emergency plans.

Drills are introduced to students by teachers in classroom settings before they are actually carried out.  Teachers explain the circumstances in which an exercise would be needed, the safety procedures of the drill and address any questions that the students may have about the drill.
