Food Science & Technology

 

 Instruction in this one semester course will emphasize how food science and technology contribute to the health and wellness of society. Students will learn to make informed decisions when selecting, buying and preparing food.  Various scientific principles in working with food will be applied. The final unit will allow students to explore the various career opportunities the food and technology industry has to offer.  Class meets every other day.

 

Credits:  1/2 science elective
